Silva Screen do the right thing by eventually releasing the music from the second series of the cult seventies sci-fi show Space: 1999.

Launching in September 1976, the second series of Space: 1999 marked the parting of the ways between Gerry Anderson and long time composer Barry Gray with Derek Wadsworth taking over the scoring duties.

For over half-a-century, Derek Wadsworth played, arranged or conducted for some of the biggest names in music including Dusty Springfield, George Harrison, Judy Garland, Dionne Warwick and many more.

His soundtrack for the second series of Space: 1999 eptiomises the era, a classic 1970s mix of jazzy sounds and synths.
